Two Cheltenham-based HR firms, HR People Support and Charlton HR, have announced that they have completed a merger.
Despite trading under the HR People Support name, Chris Hickey, founder and director at Charlton HR, will continue his responsibilities in an executive director position.
Hickey will be responsible for strategic HR, organisational development, and training at the combined group that plans to offer its client-base a wider range of HR services.
According to Hickey, the “joint resources, knowledge and expertise” will facilitate a growth in Charlton HR’s client reach, as it continues to operate from its current offices with a new team of seven staff members.
The new business, headed by Sarah Cook, founder of HR People Support, intends to bring together a wealth of expertise across the financial services, technology, and charity sectors to its 90-strong client base.
Cook said: “Chris and I saw an opportunity to combine our expertise, whilst boosting our offer to existing and new clients. We are creating a platform to enable our teams to learn from each other, whilst enabling our business to grow.
“I am looking forward to working with Chris, meeting and building relationships with Charlton HR’s clients and the team. All clients can expect continued relationship management from their current contact. I am very excited about the future of the business.”
